To create an awareness of the threat of business espionage including the threat of technical and other information collection devices;

To create a clear understanding of current modus operandi, technical surveillance threats and effective countermeasures to defend against attacks and electronic espionage;Durban - South Africa

To assist, advise and to provide through its members information to the corporate sector how to achieve high levels of security for the protection of information;

To liaise and consult with international and other local associations and service providers regarding the threat, developments and new countermeasures procedures and products;

To create a forum for local countermeasures practitioners to develop, share and assist each other regarding the practice of business counterintelligence;

To assist to ensure that clients receive the highest level of service without compromising the nature of their business, office or contacts;

To assist corporate clients in determining some level of competence expected of specifically technical countermeasures service providers such as TSCM services;

To develop guidelines to promote the association and related services in South Africa.
